Childhood Week: Various activities at the Crèche Coccinelle

A national initiative for non-formal education

Of May 17 to 23, 2025, the Crèche Coccinelle in Livange participated in the Children's week, a nationwide supported event to enhance theNon-formal education.
 This approach emphasizes learning that is done outside of strictly school settings: through play, experimentation, observation, autonomy.

Our team took this opportunity to offer children – and their families – a week Rich in sensory discoveries, creative explorations and moments of complicity.

Activities adapted to each age and anchored in our pedagogy

Every day, specific workshops were offered, directly linked to our educational project:

  • Promote autonomy,
  • awaken the senses,
  • develop motor skills,
  • Feed the children's natural curiosity.

Here is an overview of the program:

  • Monday, May 19 (10 a.m. – 11 a.m.) : 🌱 Mini-gardening workshop, followed by a sensory walk.
  • Tuesday, May 20 (10 a.m. – 11 a.m.) : 🌊 Sensory exploration on the theme of the sea, followed by a moment of massage.
  • Wednesday May 21
    • Morning (10am – 11am) : Culinary workshop – preparation of a simple recipe.
    • Afternoon (14h30 – 16h30) : Nature outing and observation of insects in the forest.
  • Thursday May 22
    • Morning (10am – 11am) : Culinary workshop.
    • Late afternoon (4pm – 6pm) : Open doors of the nursery.

These highlights have been designed for Respect the rhythms of the children while enriching their daily lives.

A week focused on families

Childhood Week is also a privileged moment for Open the doors of the crèche to families.
 The parents were able to share certain times of activity, exchange with the team, and discover in immersion the universe of the Crèche Coccinelle.
 A highlight for Strengthen the bond of trust that unites us to families, the foundation of our approach.
