Soft adaptation: a serene transition for your child

What is the adaptation period and why is it essential?

Entry into the nursery is A key step, for the child as for his parents. The adaptation period allows Create a bond of trust, to tame the place, to discover the team and to learn to separate gradually.

It aims to:

Secure the child emotionally

Reassure parents by allowing them to observe daily life

Establish a strong relationship between family and team

At Coccinelle, we consider this period to be precious and important time, to guarantee a serene experience from the start.

Our typical process for a successful adaptation

Each family is unique. This is why the adaptation is built with you, according to your needs, your rhythm, and those of your child.
1. An individual meeting

with the referent educator to get to know

2. Progressive attendance times

With the parent: 1h, then 2h…

3. Moments alone for the child

longer and longer (with the parent nearby at the start)

4. Adjustments

Based on the child's reactions

There is no “ideal duration”. The important thing is that everyone feels ready to take the next step. The child generally takes a week before finding his bearings with us.
